GREENOCK Ocean Terminal has seen out the busiest spell of the season so far after welcoming nine cruise ships in nine days.

Members of the Tele’s Camera Club were on hand to snap some fantastic photos of the vessels during their visits to Inverclyde.

The back-to-back schedule began with the arrival of Azamara Pursuit on last Thursday, followed by World Traveller the next day.

The weekend saw Coral Princess and Norwegian Dawn – both of which have a passenger capacity of more than 2,000 – dock in the town.

This week kicked off with consecutive visits from two stunning Princess Cruises vessels – Island Princess on Monday and Regal Princess on Tuesday.

Azamara Journey stopped off on Wednesday as part of a golf-themed cruise, with passengers having enjoyed two days at The Open at Royal Liverpool over the weekend.

On Thursday, Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas made a stop in Greenock as part of a 12-day cruise of the British Isles.

The busy nine-day stint came to a close yesterday, with frequent visitor Mein Schiff 3 making her fifth appearance of the cruise season.

The terminal will be quieter this week, with no visits scheduled until Regal Princess returns on August 5.
