THE winners of Inverclyde Council’s recent Active Schools Sports Development Volunteers Awards have been congratulated at the Scottish Parliament.
Inverclyde MSP Stuart McMillan lodged a motion on Monday recognising the winners of each category after they were announced at a packed ceremony last month.

The motion described the awards as ‘an excellent way’ for the community to celebrate the achievements of volunteers in Inverclyde’s schools and Mr McMillan wished the recipients ‘all the best for the future’.
His motion has so far drawn support from 15 other MSPs.
