POLICE are appealing for the owner of a 'substantial' amount of money found in Gourock to come forward and claim their cash.
Officers say a significant sum was handed into Greenock police station after being found at the Co-op on Cardwell Road on the evening of July 3.
They are asking the person who lost the money to get in touch with Greenock police station by calling 492 669 during their office hours.
The individual will be asked to tell officers the exact amount that was lost before the cash is handed back.
