TESCO customers in Inverclyde are being asked to check-out a new grants initiative to help give needy children across the UK a better start in life.
Shoppers will be asked to drop the Tesco blue token they receive into a voting box for one of three local schools or young person’s projects.
Grants are up for grabs to help schools and children’s groups provide nutritious food and healthy activities.
The scheme, supported by UK community charity Groundwork, replaces the former Tesco Community Grants funding programme.
Schools and children’s groups will be able to apply via Groundwork for a grant of up to £1,500 and successful applicants will go to a customer vote in the local stores.
