FERRY services in Inverclyde are experiencing disruption this morning due to thick fog in the area.

CalMac’s sailings between Gourock and Kilcreggan have been suspended due to low visibility since 6am, with an update expected at 10am.

The operator’s Dunoon services are currently unaffected.

Western Ferries is running a reduced two-vessel service between McInroy’s Point and Hunters Quay due to the conditions.

The half-hourly service will continue until it is reviewed at 10am.

According to CalMac, the ferry service between Wemyss Bay and Rothesay "will be liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice".

The thick fog was still lingering over the area at around 9.30am.
