THE Met Office has warned Inverclyde roads could face flooding overnight as Storm Agnes brings heavy rain to the area.

A yellow weather warning is in place from 3pm today until 3am tomorrow.

Forecasters say drivers can expect spray and flooding on roads, with some journeys taking longer than usual.

Some roads may be closed, and flooding of homes and businesses is also possible.

The Met Office says bus and train services could be affected by the conditions too.

A separate warning for wind has also been in place since noon today and is due to last until 7pm.
