THERE has been much washing up done after the World's Biggest Coffee Morning took place across the land, and hopefully the proceeds of the thousands of events that took place have helped bring in much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Here are five pictures showing the support the people of Inverclyde have given to this all-important charity over the years.
Pic1: The children, parents and teachers at St Gabriel's Primary School in Greenock's Larkfield posed up for this happy picture during their Macmillan coffee morning of 2004.
Pic2: Inverkip Primary School pupils gave a rousing cheer during a Macmillan coffee morning held in in their school hall back in 2005.
Pic3: Owners, staff and regulars of Monteith's Bar in Gourock always pulled out the stops to hold successful coffee mornings, raising tens of thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support. This picture was taken the day before the team held their fundraiser in 2015.
Pic4: This picture shows a generous £450 raised by Gourock High School secondary 3 CVS class for Macmillan Cancer Support in 1997.
Pic5: Another well attended Macmillan coffee morning at St John's Primary School in Port Glasgow is pictured here.
The successful fundraiser was held in the school hall in 2009.
