INVERCLYDE will be back on television screens next week as hit BBC drama Shetland returns for its eighth series.
The popular programme is set on the islands the series takes its name from, but several scenes have been shot in Inverclyde over the years.
The new series kicks off on BBC One on Wednesday, November 1 at 9pm.
Camera crews were spotted filming for the upcoming series along the Esplanade, at Bay Street in Port Glasgow and on Greenock's Old Largs Road over the summer.
