THE Ladies Section at Gourock Golf Club pitched in to help needy youngsters.
John McGovern, trustee of Children in Poverty Inverclyde, was recently presented with a cheque for £100 raised at social events and by holding raffles.
Anne F Johnstone, ladies charities convenor at the golf club, said: "We were happy to donate to such a worthy cause where volunteers work to assist children and families facing daily challenges in our local community.
"Many thanks to all our members for kindness and support."
A spokesperson for CIPI said: "We appreciate this generous donation from the Gourock GC Ladies Section, which will assist in purchasing gifts at Christmas for local children.
"We thank Gourock Golf Club for their support to us over the years, which has been invaluable."
