A TWO-week period of maintenance means one of the ferries carrying passengers between Inverclyde and Cowal will be out of action until next month.

CalMac has confirmed that due to an annual overhaul of one of the ferries serving the Gourock-Dunoon route, a single-vessel timetable will be in place until November 10.

The operator's website also states that similar restrictions will be enforced between February 21 next year and March 26.

The full timetable is available on CalMac's website.
