THE main pool at Greenock’s Waterfront Leisure Centre is due to reopen this week following the installation of a new moveable floor.
The facility will welcome swimmers once again from 7am on Friday.
Inverclyde Leisure closed the pool in early September to allow contractors to drain it before work began on installing the new £400,000 floor.
A total of 725,000 gallons of water was emptied over four days as the major refurbishment programme began.
Temporary timetables which had been put in place at the Waterfront and Port Glasgow Pool will now revert back to normal.
Inverclyde Leisure said: “We would like to express our gratitude to Inverclyde Council, whose support has made this refurbishment project possible.
"We thank them for their continued investment in Inverclyde Leisure facilities.”
