A FANTASTIC charity golf day has helped raise £10,000 for a cause close to peoples' hearts.
Gourock Golf Club was the venue for the special event which raised much needed funds for cancer charities including the Ardgowan Hospice.
To mark the 125th anniversary of the Associated Clubs of Clyde, which includes Gourock, there were teams from 12 clubs from across the Clyde estuary taking part in a Texas Scramble style competition.
On the day there were presentations from past Ryder Cup captains Sam Torrance, Europe and US Ben Crenshaw, USA, who are both patrons.
By the end they had raised a fantastic total thanks to a top auction and raffle
Sponsored by M&J Builders of Greenock, together with their sister companies, helped make the day a huge success.
The money raised was split equally between Ardgowan, Ayrshire and Cowal hospices.
Other companies who provided financial and product support were Wilson Golf, Merchant Homes, Hamilton Brothers, McMillan Motors, Kurek Building Services, Western Ferries and Whisky Partners (London).
There were 21 teams of four taking part with fun events around the course.
