A GROUP of talented friends have showcased their amazing creations after taking temporary charge of the McGilp's pop up shop in Gourock.

Artists and designers Lyndie Macintyre, Fiona King, Irene Bell and Ian Bell - who together run Shoreline Crafts - brought their works to an engaging audience.

The creatives presented a selection of soft furnishings, ceramics, paintings, and collage in the shop, and got the chance to welcome customers from all over the district and beyond.

Lyndie, who grew up in Gourock and Greenock, and Fiona have both worked in film and television costume for many years.

Fiona has worked on many BBC dramas, and Lyndie is currently working on Outlander.

Irene lecturers at Glasgow School of Art, and her brother Ian lectures at City of Glasgow College.

Lyndie says she has a 'great affection' for Inverclyde, and says she loves how Gourock has become a hub of 'creative energy'.

She says the friends had talked about showcasing their creations for many years before securing the McGilp's shop for a week.

Lyndie added: "The pop-up gave us the opportunity to showcase our individual skills and areas of expertise.

"It was great to see all of our work together."
