HUNDREDS of people flocked to Inverclyde's very own 'Tea in the Park'.
The get-together took place in Coronation Park in Port Glasgow and was part of National Recovery Month.
Organisers say it was a great success and are already planning another event for next year.
Isobel Dempster, recovery development co-ordinator with local community care forum Your Voice, said: "There were over 600 people, locals came along with their families. We held an event last year in Gourock and it was a great success and the people who went there came along to this one too.
"The aim is to raise awareness, reduce stigma and make recovery visible.
The event was held through the Alcohol and Drug Partnership and live music was provided by musicians who took part in the local Recovery's Got Talent contest, with the winner later playing at the Recovery Walk Scotland held in Battery Park.
Isobel told the Telegraph: "There was live music, inflatables and kids' rides and a lot of information-sharing stalls which all gave away something free for children.
"It was a real family event and we had free food and soft drinks."
Isobel says the key message for the day was that people can have a good time without alcohol or drugs.
She said: "This will be a roaming event annually through the alcohol and drugs partnership."
Isobel wanted to thank Sid's Snacks for providing the food.
