AN ARMED robber who held up a Greenock convenience store and made off with money has been jailed.
Mark Eardley admitted to presenting a knife at a member of staff at the Lifestyle Express shop on East Crawford Street on September 6, 2021.
The indictment charge against the 28-year-old stated that he demanded cash and robbed the man of a quantity of money.

The Telegraph reported earlier this year that Eardley, who has other convictions for similar offences, missed a previous calling of the case at Greenock Sheriff Court as he was being treated at a rehab facility in Bolton.
A jury trial was due to begin at the end of September before his guilty plea through solicitor Aidan Gallagher.
At a hearing earlier this month, Sheriff James Varney sentenced Eardley to 21 months in prison, discounted from two years.
