PERMISSION is being sought for a former photography studio in Gourock to undergo a £40,000 transformation into a cafe.
Council officers gave approval last year for a plan to turn the former George Young premises on Kempock Street into a food and drink outlet.
A building warrant is now being requested to that £40,000 of work to bring the unit back into use as a cafe can now take place.
Gourock property firm Bowman Rebecchi confirmed last month that a new tenant had been lined up for the premises.
The original planning application indicated that there was room inside the unit to seat almost 40 people, with nearly 20 extra seats in the conservatory area.
An outdoor area with eight tables was also shown in the drawings.
