CURIOUS crafters enjoyed listening to local folklore in the open air before designing their very own pieces of associated artwork.
Artist Louise Carr teamed up with RIG Arts for the latest 'Wash Day Stories' session in the Drying Green garden at Greenock's South West Library.
She read a piece from Tails of the Oak, by Magic Torch, about Mary Lamont from Inverkip, who was accused of witchcraft in the 17th century and of trying to throw the Kempock Stone into the sea to sink ships.
After the outdoor reading the group returned inside to the library to create cut-out fan books based on what they had heard.
Louise said: "We looked at the witches theme and its association with certain parts of Inverclyde, Kilmacolm and Galoshans."
