FESTIVE fun came early for parents and pupils at Aileymill Primary in Greenock.
The Youth Connections family group at the school got crafty to make macrame textile Santas.
Dominque McKay, who runs her own crafting business, Hopeful Creations, was drafted in to help.
She told the Telegraph: "The parents loved making things with their kids."
As well as woollen crafts, the group also made clay Santas and Christmas trees to sell at the school's upcoming Christmas fayre.
Youth Connections volunteers were on hand to help as well.
Volunteer Alisha McKay, 34, said: "I started helping out after recovering from a brain injury.
"When I started to feel better I decided to volunteer, to get myself out of the house.
"It's been good for me to get out to do things and mix with other people."
