PLANS to carry out works on almost two dozen trees in Greenock's west end have been approved by Inverclyde Council.
Proposals to make various alterations to trees on Brisbane Street have received local authority sign off.
The approval means that six lime trees on the street can now be re-pollarded, with crown lifts being carried out on a further four limes and four cherry trees.
Another lime tree will have a crown raise, while two cherry trees are set to be cut back.
A rowan tree and a cherry tree are also due to be felled, sucker removal works are scheduled for a cherry tree on the street and tree experts have been asked to add a bark mulch ring to a rowan.
