A SPECIAL defence of alibi has been lodged for a woman charged with dealing heroin and cocaine from a Greenock flat.
Pauline Smith, 48, and her co-accused son Larri Goodlad, 27, are said to have been concerned in the supplying of the class A drugs at Smith's home on Mount Pleasant Street on February 16.
It is claimed Goodlad was subject to a court bail order made in December last year at the time of the alleged offences.
Goodlad, listed as a prisoner at HMP Greenock, appeared from custody at the sheriff court this week as his solicitor, Aidan Gallagher, confirmed his not guilty pleas.
A special defence of alibi was submitted for Smith, who also denies the allegations, and a trial has been scheduled for February 5 next year.
