HUNDREDS of people gathered at Cappielow to celebrate the true spirit of Christmas.
The main stand at Morton's ground was packed for the popular annual Carols at Cappielow event.
Those in attendance sang along to accompaniment from the 2nd Port Glasgow Boys' Brigade Bugle Band and Riverside Youth Band.
People also heard the inspirational story of recovered addict Dean Ferrie, a sermon from Reverend Paul Coventry and bible readings.
Chris Jewell of Inverclyde Christian Initiative, who organised the event with the help and support of the football club, said: "It is probably one of the biggest carol events in the local calendar and we are grateful to all who turned out on a wet afternoon to help us all celebrate the birth and life of Jesus.
"It is a great occasion for all those with a Christian faith or without one to come together as one group to remember that Jesus is the reason for this season."
