And everyone was a star, whether they were a king, camel, sheep or donkey.

Denise McParland, a pupil support assistant at the school, said: "Last year we performed Lights, Camel, Action so we're doing the sequel this year, with a Strictly spin on it.

"We had three judges, the Funky Camel, Smallest Sheep and Caesar, who is the Craig Revel-Horwood character and gets all the boos.

"We had three boys who were the hosts and did the voiceovers. We've got a lot of talented pupils.

"The children have been really excited about performing, they even had home-made costumes."

Denise says this was due to all the hard work of Frances Ritchie in the school, who helped mak them.

Primaries 1-4 pupils took part in the the show, all having learned songs, sketches and dance routines for the extravaganza.

There were lots of fun festive sketches and songs including the Shepherd's Congo and the Roman Legions doing the Nazareth Hussle and Bethlehem Ceilidh.

Meanwhile cute kids from primary one recited a poem and sang Jingle Bells and Away in a Manger.

Now the school is on the big countdown to Christmas as the holidays begin next week.
