INVERCLYDE'S under pressure home support service has been rated 'very good' across the board by watchdogs.

The Care Inspectorate delivered a positive verdict on the Care At Home Service run by the local health and social care partnership.

Despite the well documented challenges of the pandemic and shortage of staff in the care sector, inspectors found that the service had maintained its high standards since the last inspection five years ago.

Care and Support at Home provides different types of support in the district, including care at home, technology-enabled care such as community alarms and other technological assistance.

Inspectors gave the service a top grade on support for people and said clients experienced very good levels of compassion and respect.

They highlighted the way the service helped people get the most out of life and its benefits to health and wellbeing.
