FANTASTIC festive drawings created by talented Gourock youngsters will take on a life of their own in a special light show this afternoon.

Pupils from Gourock and Moorfoot primaries and St Columba's High have designed an amazing array of Christmas pictures which will be projected onto buildings.

The display was organised by Gourock Community Council with help from Bruce Newlands of Inverclyde Shed.

Bruce will project the drawings onto landmarks across Gourock for everyone to see.

The light show will begin at Eastern View at 4.30pm, moving on to the Crafty Sew and Sew shop on Shore Street at 5pm.

People will also see the drawings at 115 Shore Street at around 5.30pm, and the show will finish at the Kempock Street 'gap' between Sainsbury's and Cafe Continental at 6pm.

Audrey Blincow, who is a member of the community council, said: "It will be amazing for the children and their families to see their amazing artwork all over Gourock."
