ANOTHER huge jackpot has been claimed at a Greenock bingo club branded the luckiest in Scotland.
One lucky customer at Club 3000, next to the Waterfront Cinema, scooped a life-changing five-figure sum on Thursday night - the fifth £50,000 win over the last two years.
The player, who walked away with the prize from the national bingo game, wished to remain anonymous but staff at the local venue said they were 'overjoyed' when their numbers were called, having attended the club for several years as a regular.
The club, which operates in six other Scottish locations, has now paid out more than £2m in winnings in the last 12 months, earning Greenock the tag of the 'luckiest town' in the whole country.
Manager Gerry Chisholm said: “A new year and yet another new £50,000 jackpot for the club.
"This is now our fifth big jackpot win over the last couple of years and the fourth since I have been here; we certainly have a lucky streak in our club making it the luckiest club in the whole of Scotland.
"If you are feeling lucky it is the place to be and a great night out too!”
