A NEW poll has forecasted a narrow win for the SNP in Inverclyde at this year's general election.
MP Ronnie Cowan is predicted to retain his seat by a slender margin at the upcoming election, with just one per cent more of the vote share than his nearest rival.
The data model produced by YouGov shows a landslide victory for Labour across the UK if the election were to be held today.
It would see Keir Starmer's party sweep into power with a huge 120-seat majority at Westminster.
Scottish Labour's share of the vote locally would climb to 36 percent from 29.5 percent in 2019, but this would not be enough to unseat Mr Cowan, who is predicted to win 37 percent of the vote, according to YouGov.
