PUPILS at a Greenock school have been temporarily relocated after their building sustained damage during 'extreme weather' overnight.

Ardgowan Primary on Newton Street has suffered issues with its power and water supplies this morning as a result of strong winds brought by Storm Isha.

The Met Office recorded gusts of up to 75mph in the area in the early hours of this morning, with the conditions causing disruption to roads and public transport.

Inverclyde Council says pupils have been taken to the nearby St Mary’s Primary until the issues are resolved.
