A SPECIAL little girl who touched the hearts of everyone in the Inverclyde community has been remembered on the fifth anniversary of her passing.

The family of Rosie Mitchell posted a heartfelt tribute to their beautiful daughter, who was only seven when she lost her her battle against cancer in 2019.

In a Facebook post her mum Donna Louise Hurrell said: "Another year and it's still so very hard. Rosie, we love and miss you everyday. Our "bestest girl" so full of magic and mischief and all that is good and kind."

The youngster who lived in Port Glasgow with her mum, dad Ross, and twin brothers Lucas and Dylan, was also a much-loved pupil at St John's Primary.

The school also posted a touching tribute online, saying: "Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we’ll miss you until we meet again."
