TURNING an already exquisite Inverkip home into an even more impressive family-focused property has been a labour of love for an Inverclyde couple.

Louise Harris and Richard Jow live in an incredible five-bedroom and four-bathroom townhouse in Malin Grove which sits just minutes from Inverkip Marina.

The couple, along with baby Mabel, five months, and dogs CJ, Boba, and Hettie, are sad to be leaving the fantastic property after nine years.

Louise and Richard moved into the home as new in 2015 and have loved living in the marina development.

Over the years, they have extended the home 'outwards' by adding a great-sized dining room onto the open plan living room and kitchen, and 'upwards' by creating a top floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom.

Greenock Telegraph:
The developments have turned the property into the only five-bedroom townhouse in the marina.

Louise and Richard also added an amazing sound-treated studio in the garden.

Greenock Telegraph:
Louise, 40, says she loves the space on offer throughout the beautiful home.

She added: "It's quite Tardis-like.

"We love how open-plan it is downstairs.

"It's a really lovely family space and is a great house for entertaining."

Greenock Telegraph:
Louise said the couple were staying in Glasgow when they decided they needed a bigger property.

She added: "We found a house type that we were really interested in and discovered that there was a development in Inverkip.

"We'd never been to Inverkip before so we drove down and once we reached the marina we realised 'okay, we need to live here now'.

"The homes were still being built at that time but we knew it was the house for us."

Greenock Telegraph:
Louise and Richard drove home and decided to travel back to Inverkip the following day - where Richard popped the question.

Louise, who is a professor of audiovisual composition, said: "We got engaged on Inverkip beach so it's a really special place for us and we're really sad to be leaving."

The amazing open-plan living space on the ground floor leads out into the rear garden via bi-fold doors.

Greenock Telegraph:
This floor also boasts a handy wc/utility room.

On the first floor, viewers will find three great-sized bedrooms.

Greenock Telegraph:
One is currently being used as an office, another as a snug/den, and the third is the impressive master, which has its own en suite with feature 'rainfall' shower.

The elegant family bathroom completes this level of the home.

Greenock Telegraph:
On the second floor, there are two great-sized bedrooms and a shower room.

The bedroom which sits to the rear has French doors which lead out onto a Juliet balcony offering views out over Ardgowan Estate.

Louise says the couple's only motivation for moving from the house is the need for more garden space.

She added: "I got really into growing our own produce during lockdown and we need more space for that.

"The house is amazing but we just need a bit more room outdoors.

"It's a beautiful family home."
