A Greenock-based builders merchant has announced a donation drive to support a local hub for people with life-limiting illnesses.

Build Depot, which has its head office on Lynedoch Street as well as branches in Dunoon, Largs, and Larkhall, will make a direct contribution to Ardgowan Hospice for every bulk bag of various products sold.

The hospice relies on fundraising and donations to provide patients with personalised one-to-one care from diagnosis until the end of life.

Mark Rodger, Build Depot's managing director, said: “We've been part of the Greenock community for over 70 years, and we believe in supporting the organisations that make our town a stronger place.”

He added: “Ardgowan Hospice provided invaluable care to my grandfather when he needed it most, and we are honoured to be able to say thank you and support them and their work through this partnership."

Colette Cameron, marketing and communications manager at Ardgowan Hospice, said: “This partnership helps us provide invaluable support to individuals affected by life-limiting illnesses in Inverclyde.

“The generosity from Build Depot is not only making a difference in the community but also bringing comfort and assistance to those facing challenging circumstances.”
