A GREENOCK church has raised almost half the funds it needs to install a new £30,000 stained glass window - in just one month.
St Mary's launched an appeal in December to ask for donations to commission Alec Galloway to create a window based on The Assumption of Our Lady.
A generous contribution of £12,000 has been dedicated to the fund and more than £17,000 has been raised so far.
The edge of the stained glass will have around 100 separate glass pieces and anyone who donates £100 or more can have their initials, or those of a loved one, inscribed there.
