YOUNG Beavers and Cubs in Greenock had a patriotic party as they celebrated the life and work of Robert Burns.

The 32nd Greenock and District marked Burns Day by taking part in a host of traditional activities and sampling Scottish foods.

Greenock Telegraph:

Scout leader Carol McCallum said: “Scottish delicacies of Irn-Bru, oatcakes and shortbread went down a treat.

“The children all enjoyed some haggis hunting, decorating kilt shortbread, highland coo art, and weaving kilt crafts and then rounded off their evening with some good old Scottish music and dancing.”
