A TEAM of gas engineers have stepped in to help struggling families living in Inverclyde.
Children in Poverty Inverclyde officials were thrilled to receive £2,000 from Scottish Gas staff.
Alan Bruce, manager of the network's Inverclyde-based team, said he and his colleagues were delighted to be able to support the charity.
He said: "We work in the area and some of our team live here.
"We know that Children in Poverty Inverclyde support so many families here and all the money goes to local people."
The donation will go towards helping families keep warm during the rest of winter and to send kids on holiday breaks.
