A REPEAT knife offender has been locked up after admitting to carrying a blade in a Greenock town centre street.
Dylan Sewell pleaded guilty to the indictment charge when he appeared from custody at Greenock Sheriff Court.
The 22-year-old was caught with the weapon in Kilblain Street on August 24, 2022, and court papers state he was on bail at the time.
The hearing was told Sewell, of Uddingston, was convicted earlier in January of assault, and threatening or abusive behaviour involving the brandishing of a blade, at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
He was remanded in custody on that matter and sentencing was deferred until later this month.
At his Greenock hearing, Sheriff James Spy deferred sentence until February 28 to await the outcome of the other case.
