A DRIVER found travelling in Greenock town centre with ‘sharp metal’ sticking out of one of their car tyres has been reported by police.

Officers from Glasgow’s Road Policing unit pulled a black Hyundai over on Cathcart Street on Saturday morning for a routine check.

Greenock Telegraph:

In a social media post, Road Policing Scotland said: “The two front tyres were found to be showing cord and had sharp metal exposed.

“This doesn't happen overnight, please check your tyres.”

Police reported the driver and the vehicle was prohibited.
