PERMISSION is being sought for alterations to a former gaming cafe in Greenock so that the unit can be turned into a restaurant.
Plans to add an extraction flue to the rear of the now-closed Geek Retreat premises on Kilblain Street have been lodged with Inverclyde Council.
Documents submitted alongside the application state that the existing property is to be altered to form a restaurant which will 'bring some vitality and vibrancy' to Kilblain Street.
Drawings of the interior show a large customer dining area, with a servery and a kitchen.
The re-imagined premises would also have a store, a waste and recycling area as well as customer toilets.
The documents do not indicate whether an operator has been lined up for the restaurant.
