AN alleged dangerous driver is said to have caused serious injuries to two people after crashing into a car while disqualified.
John Paul Sheehan got behind the wheel of a Peugeot 207 without a licence or insurance on November 7 in 2021, according to prosecutors.
The Crown claims that the 36-year-old caused serious injury to a man and woman when he collided with their vehicle on Bridge of Weir Road, at its junction with the B788 in Kilmacolm.
It is claimed Sheehan drove dangerously and at excessive speed, failed to stop at the junction, turned right at excessive speed and hit the other car.
Sheehan, whose address listed in court papers as Auchinleck in East Ayrshire, is also charged with failing to provide details to officers at Kilmarnock police office on January 16 last year.
The accused was absent from the latest calling of his case at Greenock Sheriff Court as Sheriff James Spy continued proceedings to a further pre-trial hearing on February 20.
