A DRUG driving accused teenager has been charged with being behind the wheel of a car a Greenock street at Hogmanay whilst allegedly intoxicated on more than twice the legal limit for cannabis.
Richard Mullan, 19, of Grieve Road, is said to have driven a car on Regent Street on New Year’s Eve 2022 while the proportion of THC – the main psychoactive component of cannabis – in his blood was not less than 5.2 microgrammes per litre of blood. The legal limit is 2 mcg.
The matter has been continued without plea at Greenock Sheriff Court until March 1.
