TWO Inverclyde eateries have been named as finalists in the annual Scottish Restaurant Awards.

The event, now in its third year, aims to recognise Scotland’s culinary talent across a range of cuisines.

Less than a year after opening its doors, Scotts Greenock will contest the Family Restaurant of the Year category.

Greenock Telegraph:

The bar and restaurant, located at Greenock Ocean Terminal, is up against the likes of Glasgow’s Steak Inn, Miller and Carter Cramond Brig, and the Boat Yard in Lochwinnoch.

Tonino’s is also up for Pizza Restaurant of the Year – a category which it scooped the top prize in last year.

The Greenock pizzeria will face competition from restaurants such as Paesano in Glasgow, Prestwick’s Vitos Italian and Froth and Flame in Edinburgh.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Restaurant Awards 2024 said: “The Scottish Restaurant Awards are an amazing opportunity to celebrate and showcase the very best and diverse range in Scottish dining.

"We are thrilled to have such a strong mix of talent nominated for this year’s awards and we want to wish all of our finalists the best of luck.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Glasgow's DoubleTree by Hilton on March 18.
