INVERCLYDE train passengers are being reminded that services will be affected by a line closure this weekend.

Engineering work will be taking place on Sunday and Monday.

All Inverclyde trains will be affected, with replacement buses running between Gourock and Paisley and Wemyss Bay and Paisley.

This weekend’s work will see resurfacing and rendering carried out at Port Glasgow Railway Station following the removal last weekend of the old bridge between the platforms.

Once this is completed all equipment and scaffolding will be removed and the station will reopen.
