A FRONTLINE suicide prevention charity has received a cash boost to the tune of £1,500 from the Freemasons of Renfrewshire West (Inverclyde).

Man On Inverclyde has been given the donation through the Provincial Grand Master's charity fund.

The charity's founder Chris Paul said the money is helping the team deliver football therapy sessions to young people across Inverclyde.

Previous Provincial Grand Master brother Robin McIntyre decided that Man On should receive the cash boost.

He said: "We're delighted to be associated with Man on Inverclyde, a well-known charity which promotes the advancement of mental health information, training and support in Inverclyde and beyond."

John Williamson Black, current Provincial Grand Master of Renfrewshire West, added: "This is the first time we've supported the charity but after meeting Chris and the team and finding out more about what Man On does for the people of Inverclyde, we hope it won’t be the last."

Man On Inverclyde founder Chris Paul said: "We're delighted whenever anyone in the community thinks of Man On when they're donating or sponsoring.

"This income allowed us to develop our reach with young people through our football therapy projects and we are hugely appreciative of the donation."
