MAR Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa Resort has unveiled plans for a multi-million-pound renovation, featuring new high-end leisure facilities.

The revamp, by Curveline Design and fitness brand PRIMAL, will relaunch during the first quarter of this year and turn the hotel into a top-tier multi-functional space, with the gym and pool hall due for a complete makeover.

Joe Gallacher, the general manager, said: "It is an incredibly exciting time at Mar Hall.

Greenock Telegraph:

"After a period of uncertainty for our members, guests, and staff, we are now in an extremely strong position with a multi-million-pound investment that will return the entire resort to its former glory."

The renovation is set to begin in early March and is the initial phase of the major redevelopment scheme aimed at establishing Mar Hall as one of Scotland's premier resorts.

Further enhancements later this year include refurbishing the spa with an indoor/outdoor wellness suite, with views of the River Clyde and the Old Kilpatrick hills.

Greenock Telegraph:

The redesigned areas are being developed to complement the building's historic features while updating the spa into a serene retreat.

Phase two of the refurbishment will include a new wellness suite and spin studio.

The resort, which has previously hosted Harry Styles, David Beckham and Beyonce, wants to compete with top Scottish resorts such as Cameron House and Gleneagles.
