Keith has invited 30 young people from the group to perform in his show Dreamcoat Stars, when it comes to the Beacon Arts Centre in May.

He shot to fame in the BBC'S' Any Dream Will Do' programme, when he was runner-up in Andrew Lloyd Webber's search to find an unknown 'Joseph' for the show's revival. Keith was joined by his friend Hayley Johnston for the workshop - and the pair were impressed by the talent on show.

Thomas Williams who co-founded the local company, told the Tele: "Keith taught the kids a song from his time in Fame the musical and Hayley took them through a dance which was close to what they had to do on the west end stage themselves.

"At the end of the day the kids got to perform what they learned to some parents.

"We invited some kids from Prominence Academy of Performing Arts as well and everyone really enjoyed themselves."

The busy group will take to the stage with Keith and his team at the Beacon on Friday May 3.

They will then perform in their own show, Shrek Junior, at Port Glasgow Town Hall from Thursday May 23 to Saturday May 25.

Tickets for the production will be on sale shortly.
