A RETROSPECTIVE planning application to use a flat in Gourock for short-term holiday lets has been recommended for approval despite six objections being lodged.
Inverclyde Council officials say the change of use regarding the two-bedroom property in Margaret Street should be given the green light when it goes in front of the planning board next week.
A report on the application states that the property is let all year round with durations ranging from two to three days to three weeks, with 80-100 guests are accommodated each year.
Objectors had cited concerns over noise and disruption, parking, 'potential devaluation of properties' and a 'theft of parcel suspected from the guests'.
Councillors will decide on the application at a meeting on March 6.
