A GOUROCK gift shop has called on customers for their backing after it was nominated for a national award.
Treasured, on Cardwell Road, is shortlisted for Craft and Gift Shop of the Year at the Scottish Independent Retail Awards.
The winners will be selected via a public vote and revealed at a ceremony next month.
In a social media post, staff at Treasured said: “After the challenging few years we’ve had this would be the most incredible recognition for my team.”
A number of Inverclyde retailers have been named as finalists across several categories, including Gourock’s The Pirate & Bluebelle which is up for Specialist Retailer of the Year.
McCaskie’s in Wemyss Bay is nominated for Butcher of the Year, with Greenock’s Blessed Wellness Studio being shortlisted in the Bespoke Retailer category.
Reid Mackellar on West Blackhall Street will contest the Optician of the Year title, while The New Chocolate Company in Port Glasgow bids for the Confectionery Retailer of the Year prize.
