ORDER books have just opened for the new Skoda Superb.

The Superb is known for offering a massive amount of room for passengers and their luggage. It is now even more spacious.

With first deliveries expected in June, the estate’s boot capacity has grown to 690 litres – 30 litres more than before. Boot capacity of the hatchback is 645 litres.

Skoda now offer a wider spread of engines, with all mated to DSG automatic transmissions.

Both body styles can be had with three petrol and two diesel engines. The 1.5 TSI 148bhp petrol now has mild-hybrid technology.

An additional engine is offered in the estate. With an output of 201bhp, this 1.5 TSI petrol is a second-generation plug-in hybrid which Skoda claim capable of travelling more than 62 miles on electricity alone.

Still representing a lot of car for the money, the new Superb is available in three trim levels, starting with the SE Technology hatchback costing from £34,865 for the hatchback and £36,165 for the estate.

The flagship Lauren & Klement hatchback and estate are priced from £46,100 and £47,400.
