AN assault accused man said to have carried out a sustained attack in a Port Glasgow street is set to stand trial later this year.
Edward Rodriguez repeatedly struck a man on the head at Scarlow Street on June 22 last year, prosecutors claim.
Rodriguez, 40, of Dubbs Road in the Port, had his trial adjourned until October by Sheriff Clair McLachlan at a calling of the case last week.
A further pre-trial hearing is scheduled for September.
