INVERCLYDE Foodbank is appealing for more donations to help the ever growing number of local people going hungry.
After another busy month coming to the aid of struggling families supplies are running low.
The team are in need of diluting juice, pasta sauce, tinned meat, tinned soup, tinned tomatoes and UHT milk.
Manager Adam Wines, who runs the anti-poverty charity from its base in West Stewart Street, hopes that kind residents will step in to donate.
He said: "We are always very busy after Christmas, when people have credit to pay and things are tough with the cost of living crisis.
"But we also find that donations are always a bit lower at this time of year as well.
"We are running out of a few things. But the people of Inverclyde are always generous when we need them."
