GREEN-FINGERED enthusiasts are digging deep to celebrate the arrival of spring by growing potatoes in community plots across Inverclyde.
Belville Community Garden was the first to take part in 'Spring Potato Week'.
Local people got the chance to sow seeds in their planters and take away their own kits to use at home.
Inverclyde Community Food Network is touring all of the local community gardens as they continue their campaign to encourage more people to grow their own produce.
Belville Community Garden manager Sally Clough led the demonstrations at the planters as they were joined by volunteers and local people.
Organiser Julie Anson said: "We are delighted to be back following the success of Spring Potato Week last year."
Similar events are being held at Branchton Community Centre, Parklea in Port Glasgow, Blooming Inverkip, Greenock South West Library garden and Craigend Resource Centre.
