A PORT Glasgow pensioner has been charged with causing serious injury to a cyclist through alleged careless driving.
John Monkhouse, 77, of Pentland Avenue, is said to have failed to keep proper lookout at a junction and pulled out in front of the man.
The cyclist is said to have fallen from his bike onto the bonnet of the OAP's black Vauxhall Astra before tumbling onto the opposing carriageway.
Prosecutors say the incident occurred at Bridge of Weir Road and Lochwinnoch Road in Kilmacolm on December 13 last year.
The matter has been continued without plea at Greenock Sheriff Court until May 3.
